| NA4 - Falcons v. Hawks Do not miss this great opportunity to see these two USA Rugby select sides playoff at Mt. Hood Community College. The event is on July 10th and kickoff is at 6pm. The match will determine the winner and looser brackets before they head to Toronto to take on the two Canadian equivalents. This is the best rugby Portland has seen in a long time. | PLAYOFFS The Pigs have returned empty handed from the PCRFU Division II Playoffs. On Saturday the Pigs were out sized but not out matched by the Provo Steelers, which they handled 31-17. On Sunday the Pigs elevated their game higher taking on a tough Sacramento squad. It was a hard fought battle and the Pigs fell 17-18 in the final minutes of the match. The Pigs were 2 points from going to the Sweet 16 and being ranked 9th in the nation. Overall, the The Pigs had a stellar season and excelled past all expectations. They finished the 2007-8 regular season in second place with an impressive 15-2-1 overall record and a 10-1-1 league record. This after only a 500 league season record last year. |
